On February 21, 2025, the CEO CO-FOUNDER WANTED 2025: LEAD UKM INNOEXCELERATE’S FUNDED RESEARCH STARTUP program took place at Anjung Digital, Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FTSM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

This program provided UKM researchers with the opportunity to showcase their innovative technologies in an exclusive pitching session. More than 50 participants, including representatives from Germany and France, as well as various stakeholders from local and international industries, attended the event.

A total of 15 researchers, who are also UKM lecturers, participated in the pitching session, presenting their technologies to potential strategic partners and investors. The session was moderated by Mr. Zakir from Origgin, who facilitated the discussions throughout the event.

The CEO CO-FOUNDER program aims to identify potential co-founders for technologies developed by researchers. This initiative is a proactive step in advancing the technology transfer and commercialization agenda, bringing UKM’s research innovations to the market. With strong collaborations between academia and industry, local innovations can be elevated to greater heights.

At the end of the program, the organizers welcomed individuals or organizations interested in becoming strategic partners or co-founders for the listed technologies.
