MASTER IN CLIMATE CHANGE (COURSEWORK)
The Institute of Climate Change, UKM acknowledge the need of increasing the knowledge and awareness of climate change threats on to our livelihood. Thus, we are pleased to introduce our MS (Course Work) Program to improve the knowledge related to climate change by combining theoretical, practical, and latest applications in climate change mitigation.
Purposes of the Course
National capacity building in the field of climate change
There is a need of modelling and forecasting of climate change
To support national development plan, such as National Key Economic Areas (NKEA)
In line with Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0), Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs), and 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26)

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Academic requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, CGPA ≥ 2.50
- Bachelor’s Degree, CGPA ≤ 2.50, but with 5 years related working experience
- Language Requirement (Foreign enrollments)
- Not required
- Citizens of countries with English language as official language (Native Speakers)
- Graduated from academic institutions using English as medium of instruction
- Recognized language standards
- IELTS ≥ Band 5.0
- TOEFL ≥ 60 (iBT)
- CEFR ≥ Mid B2
- MUET ≥ Band 3
- Does not meet English language requirements (Non-Native Speaker)
- Attend university level English Preparation Course for maximum 2 years
- Candidates that attended third party English Preparation Course, should sit for either:
- Malaysia university English Test (MUET); or
- Exams recognized by The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)
- Not required
