The opening ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks by Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Nordin, Country Chapter Chair (Malaysia), Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), Director of UKM ISN-SDG and Advisory Committee Member of AUAP AI 2026. In her address, she welcomed delegates from Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, China, the Philippines and other participating countries, emphasising the importance of strengthening regional collaboration through higher education. She highlighted the vital role of universities in harnessing Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies responsibly to advance innovation, sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/div>\n

The programme also featured welcoming remarks by Dr. Supaporn Chuangchid, Executive Secretary of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), who reaffirmed AUAP’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and promoting knowledge exchange among member universities to prepare institutions for the future of digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence.<\/div>\n

Dr. Adi Irfan Che Ani, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Income Generation and Development, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, whose presence reflected UKM’s unwavering commitment to advancing digital transformation, responsible Artificial Intelligence, innovation and sustainable development through higher education.<\/div>\n

Mesyuarat Pengoperasian Pusat Kompos UKM telah berjaya diadakan pada 10 Jun 2025 bertempat di Bilik Mesyuarat Pujangga 4 UKMShape. Mesyuarat dipengerusikan oleh Prof. Dato\u2019 Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Nordin, Pengarah Pusat Perundingan Strategik Antarabangsa dan Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (UKM ISN-SDG) dan dihadiri Ir. Ts. Zulfadly Anuar Datuk Taip (Menjalankan Fungsi Pengarah Jabatan Pembangunan Prasarana UKM) diriingi Dr Rosafizah Mohamed Idrus (Ketua Pentadbiran JPP), LAr. Nor`Ain Mohd Jali (Ketua Unit Landskap JPP), Cik Fadhlina Harun (Landskap JPP), Prof Madya Ts. Dr. Siti Aminah Hj. Osman (Timbalan Dekan, Rangkaian & Penjanaan Pendapatan, Jabatan Kejuruteraan Awam UKM) dan juga Dr. Irfana Kabir Ahmad (Jabatan Kejuruteraan Awam UKM).

Mesyuarat ini sangat penting dalam membincangkan hala tuju Pusat Kompos UKM dari segi pengoperasian, pentadbiran, pengurusan sumber dan masalah-masalah berbangkit yang perlu diselesaikan serta penambahbaikan yang perlu dilakukan. Ini merupakan juga salah satu usaha UKM untuk meningkatkan ranking UKM terutama dalam Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (SDG).
