Bringing together royalty, textiles and landscapes, this project explores the threads and motifs which adored royal life. In Scotland tapestries hung from the walls of castle banquet halls, telling stories and portraying epic scenes and in Malaysian Kelingkans embellished outfits display inspiration from the surrounding nature.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In this project we will explore the connections demonstrated in the historic textiles of both UK and Malaysia. Using digital and augmented reality we will unravel the past and explore the material, symbolism and artistry in both the tapestry and Kelingkans textiles.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We are proud to be sharing our exploration of these pieces thank to support from the British Council Connection Through Culture grant 2024.
