Bagaimanapun, peruntukan sedia ada berkaitan kesalahan menghina agama masih kabur sehingga menyebabkan penguatkuasaan dan pendakwaan sukar untuk dijalankan. Sehubungan itu, kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk menganalisis matan undang-undang Islam di negeri-negeri yang berkaitan dengan kesalahan menghina agama di Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis dokumen dengan merujuk statut undang-undang Islam di setiap negeri yang berkaitan kesalahan menghina agama daripada pandangan para ulama. Analisis mendapati setiap terma atau frasa yang digunakan dalam matan undang-undang Islam berkaitan kesalahan menghina agama mempunyai sandaran yang jelas daripada al-Qur\u2019an, hadith dan pendapat ulama. However, the current provisions relating to blasphemy are still ambigious and this has made enforcement and prosecution difficult. Hence, this research aimed to analyse state Islamic law texts related to blasphemy throughout Malaysia. This research used the content analysis approach by referring to Islamic law statutes concerning blasphemy in every state from the Islamic scholars\u2019 views. The analysis found that each theme or phrase used in the Islamic law texts related to blasphemy had relied on the al-Qur\u2019an, Hadith and views of religious scholars.
