This study uses time-series data of Gross Domestic Products (GOP) and export, which<br \/>\nare divided by sectors, primary and secondary,from 1970 to 1998 for selected ASEAN countries, namely, Phillipines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. It is found that both sectors are either co-integrated with CDP or have long-run relationship between them. Meanwhile, Granger- causality test analysis shows that growth in those export sectors promote growth in GDP.
