    1.1 INTRODUCTION OF ELECTIVE POSTING<\/strong><\/p>\n

    AIM:
    <\/strong>The aim of this elective posting is to give students an opportunity to undertake, for a period of\u00a02 weeks [international] or 4 weeks [local]<\/strong>\u00a0either at the\u00a0end of year 3 or year 4<\/strong>, any\u00a0humanitarian project<\/strong>\u00a0of their interest.<\/p>\n

    LEARNING OUTCOMES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Experience and discover broader aspects of human life beyond the classroom setting.<\/li>\n
    2. Critically reflect on the experience in the form of a written report<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n


      <\/strong>VENUE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Students are provided with theme\/ list of institutions (governmental or non-governmental, locally or internationally) for you to choose and arrange your elective placement. If you cannot find any listed-institutions that match your interest, you may discuss your choice with the Elective Coordinator or his assistant.<\/li>\n
      2. Students are not allowed to do electives in a hospital setting (except in overseas\/ non medical related\/ interprofessional)<\/li>\n
      3. Maximum of 2 groups or 10 students per venue (first come and first serve basis).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n


        PROCEDURE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Select an institution where you want to undergo the elective posting.<\/li>\n
        2. Contact the institution and decide on the proposed activity.<\/li>\n
        3. Identify a person that can act as supervisor\/advisor during your attachment.<\/li>\n
        4. Please download 3 forms from the JPP website (Application form, Student\u2019s evaluation form, Elective Posting report)<\/li>\n
        5. Submit the Elective Application Form to\u00a0JPP Office@ bangunan praklinikal\u00a0latest by\u00a0WEDNESDAY 25th<\/sup>\u00a0APRIL 2018<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        6. The Elective Coordinator should be kept informed of any changes made to the original proposal.<\/li>\n
        7. If the institution requires an official Letter of Recommendation, please collect the letter from\u00a0Academic Office@ bangunan pendidikan.<\/li>\n
        8. A copy of approved elective application form should be collected from the\u00a0JPP Office\u00a0on\u00a0FRIDAY 25TH<\/sup>\u00a0MAY 2018<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        9. Go the elective institution during the designated period for (YEAR 3, 11TH<\/sup>\u00a0JUN \u2013 17TH<\/sup>\u00a0AUGUST 2018<\/strong>) & (YEAR 4, 9TH<\/sup>\u00a0JULY \u2013 7TH<\/sup>\u00a0SEPTEMBER 2018<\/strong>).<\/li>\n
        10. Submit the Student\u2019s evaluation form to your Elective Centre Supervisor upon completion for students to be assessed.<\/li>\n
        11. Submit your written report (which includes a record of activities, critical reflection of experience) and also the Student\u2019s evaluation form to the\u00a0JPP Office\u00a0in a hard copy latest by\u00a0TUESDAY 2ND<\/sup>\u00a0OCTOBER 2018<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
