UKM–RIKEN FrontiER Perkukuh Jaringan Penyelidikan Antarabangsa
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), successfully organized the UKM–RIKEN FrontiER programme on 12 February 2026. The programme brought together a distinguished delegation of scientists from RIKEN, Japan, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and the strengthening of research networks between the two institutions. Representatives from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) were also present to share insights on the long-standing collaboration between USM and RIKEN, including their experiences and collaborative efforts, serving as valuable guidance for FST.
Throughout the programme, participants attended knowledge-sharing sessions conducted by RIKEN scientists, who presented the latest research advancements in chemistry, biology, physics, and advanced technologies. These sessions fostered meaningful academic discussions and facilitated the exchange of ideas between the institutions. The UKM–RIKEN FrontiER programme reflects FST UKM’s commitment to strengthening international networks and advancing a high-impact research ecosystem. This initiative is expected to serve as a catalyst for further strategic collaborations between UKM, RIKEN, and USM in the future.
