About
UKM XR: Engineering Learning Everywhere envisions a transformative future for engineering education through the integration of immersive technologies such as Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality. Our mission is to empower students, educators, and institutions by providing engaging, flexible, and accessible learning experiences that transcend traditional classroom boundaries. By leveraging XR tools, we aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, foster critical problem-solving skills, and prepare future-ready engineers capable of thriving in a rapidly evolving digital world. Through strategic collaboration, continuous innovation, and a commitment to academic excellence, UKM XR seeks to position Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as a leader in immersive engineering education enabling impactful, inclusive, and lifelong learning for all.
Exploring Climate Change using Augmented Reality (ECAR) is a teaching innovation related to climate change using augmented reality (AR) technology. It was developed to increase awareness of environmental issues and our role in ensuring that these issues can be addressed. This innovation involves the production of an augmented reality model based on a real problem in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia.
This project focuses on developing digitalized solutions for learning, teaching, and training in high voltage engineering. Designed for academic institutions and industrial applications, the digital modular kits provide a safe, flexible, and practical approach to understanding high voltage systems. The kits incorporate interactive, simulation-based tools, offering hands-on experience with real-world scenarios.
The robot arm is a device consisting of a moving chain of links connected by joints. Electrical motors are frequently used to move each robot arm joint. An end-effector that can move freely in space is usually attached to one end of the robot platform, which is fixed. Robot arms can do repetitive operations at rates and precision far exceeding human operators. Explore how you can operate robot arm virtually with Immersive Armed Robot.
Let’s step into Dr. Khai’s Chemical Engineering Gallery in the metaverse! 🚀 Your mission: Explore the exhibits, analyze the chemical equipment, and identify the underlying concepts and principles behind each unit operation. Are you ready? Let’s begin!
The AR control Lab makes learning level and flow control interactive and immersive. The process control can be done live by valves tweaking, PIDs tuning in an instant feecback. Augmented Reality enhances the learning experience by revealing hidden dynamics through a tap or swipe. It is like bringing the physical control lab to anywhere. Get ready to control, visualize, and ultimately master the real-world process systems through AR Control Lab.
