The University Health Centre (Pusat Kesihatan Universiti or PKU) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to the university community, including students, staff, and faculty members. The PKU provides a comprehensive healthcare infrastructure, including an emergency room, outpatient clinic and certified personnel trained in medical and dental care to serve both students and university staff. The PKU is dedicated not only to delivering high-quality health services but also to promoting health education, awareness, and best practices among the campus community. Pusat Kesihatan Universiti (PKU) UKM offers a wide range of healthcare services to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and the university community. The services include:

2. UKM Smoking Cessation Clinic

The UKM Smoking Cessation Clinic is dedicated to helping students, staff, and the community quit smoking through professional guidance, counseling, and medical support. Operated by the University Health Centre (PKU) UKM, the clinic offers a structured program that includes behavioral therapy, nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), and personalized health consultations to assist individuals in their journey toward a smoke-free lifestyle.

UKM also operates Poliklinik UKM located at Bandar Baru Bangi, providing healthcare services to both the public and the campus community. As part of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s commitment to community well-being, the clinic offers accessible, high-quality healthcare with modern facilities and experienced medical professionals.
Located in a convenient setting, Poliklinik UKM provides a range of primary healthcare services, including general medical consultations, health screenings, vaccinations, dental care, and chronic disease management. The clinic also offers specialist referrals and preventive health programs to ensure holistic medical care for all patients.
With a mission to promote health and well-being, Poliklinik UKM welcomes UKM students, staff, and the public, ensuring affordable and efficient medical treatment for everyone. Whether for routine check-ups, emergency care, or long-term health management, Poliklinik UKM is dedicated to serving the community with excellence.
4. Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM

Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), UKM Medical Centre (PPUKM) is a teaching hospital for the Faculty of Medicine UKM in producing specialists from various fields of medicine and health.
HCTM UKM aims in :- Being the preferred reference centre in the field of health and medicine not only in the country but also for the region.
- Providing comprehensive and integrated training facilities to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Faculty of Dentistry.
- Administration – Includes departments like Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and Risk Management.
- Clinical – Covers various medical fields such as Surgery, Psychiatry, Radiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Emergency Medicine, and more.

5. The Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia, also known as the Ronald McDonald Welfare Association Malaysia, was established on February 15, 1990. RMHC’s mission is to support underprivileged children and families in three key areas: Health, Education, and Welfare. At Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM (HCTM), RMHC provides a fully equipped Ronald McDonald House (RMH) for families of pediatric patients, allowing them to stay near their children while they receive treatment. The first RMH in Malaysia was built at HCTM UKM in 1999, making it the first RMH in the ASEAN region. Over 1,300 families have stayed here. This facility helps low-income families by providing accommodation at only RM5.00 / USD1 per day.

6. UKM Children’s Specialist Hospital

UKM Specialist Children Hospital (HPKK) or also known as Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani is the first specialist children’s hospital in Malaysia and UKM’s second teaching hospital after HCTM.
Objective of HPKK- To be a leading hospital in children’s health care equipped with various diagnostic facilities and the latest treatment technology suitable for children’s health care at all ages.
- Become a well-known pediatric tertiary referral center nationally and internationally.
- Strengthening the continuity of the energy supply of multidisciplinary pediatricians for the current and future needs of the country.
The Health Service Offer in HPKK UKM encompasses a wide range of clinical health services, catering to diverse medical needs. These include Clinical Immunology, Psychology, Anesthesiology, Mouth & Maxillofacial Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, and Otorhinolaryngology, ensuring specialized treatments for various conditions. Additionally, HPKK UKM provides Pediatric Surgery, Emergency Medical Services, Dentistry, Reconstruction & Plastic Surgery, Spinal Care, Pediatric Gynecology, and Endocrinology to address comprehensive patient care. The clinic is equipped with 14 hearing test rooms and two laboratories featuring advanced technology for the assessment, management, and research of hearing and balance disorders. Operated by certified audiologists with specialized expertise, the clinic ensures high-quality care and professional services in the field of audiology.

This clinic is open to the general public and also serves as a teaching and practicum center for undergraduate students specializing in speech sciences.
Recognized at the national level, the UKM Speech Science Clinic has become a leading reference center for the assessment and treatment of language and speech disorders, offering expert care and support.

In 2023, UKM Speech Sciences Clinic launched a new book on Language stimulation strategies for parents (Bahasa Melayu Edition) and distributed free of charge for those interested. The book is entitled: ‘KUASA BERMAIN: Buku Panduan Perkembangan Bahasa dan Pertuturan Kanak-kanak’. which translates to “Power of Playing : Guidebook to Children’s Speech and Language Development. The book is made for all those who are interested in knowing more on how to play and stimulate children’s language.
c) SIHAT@UKM: UKM Optometry Clinic

d) Klinik Optometri Bergerak UKM (KOB)

The Klinik Optometri Bergerak UKM (KOB) is a mobile optometry clinic operated by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to provide eye care services to communities in need. The Health Psychology Clinic (KPK-FSK), Faculty of Health Sciences, was established in January 2002 and began operations in February 2002. It is managed by the Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Health Program (PPK & KTL), Faculty of Health Sciences, UKM.
This clinic provides psychological assessment and intervention services, catering to the general public. It also serves as a teaching and practicum center for postgraduate students specializing in clinical psychology.
As it continues to grow, KPK-FSK has become a well-recognized national referral center for clinical psychology services. While the clinic primarily focuses on clinical psychology and mental health services, it also offers counseling and psychological consultation services. The clinic is operated by a team of clinical psychologists, registered counselors, and health, industrial, and organizational (I/O) psychologists.
The Health Psychology Clinic (KPK-FSK) is located at Block G, Faculty of Health Sciences, UKM. The clinic is well-equipped with various specialized rooms and facilities to support psychological assessments, therapy sessions, and training for postgraduate students.

Formerly known as the Physical Therapy Clinic, the UKM Physiotherapy Clinic was established in 2008 under the Physiotherapy Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UKM. Its founding aligns with UKM’s mission to serve the community through expertise and specialized skills in physiotherapy.
The clinic provides learning, teaching, and physiotherapy services, including assessment and treatment for various conditions requiring short-term or long-term rehabilitation. Additionally, it offers health screenings and health promotion services both within the clinic and in community settings.
The UKM Physiotherapy Clinic provides professional rehabilitation and therapy services to the public. Services are divided into two main categories:

Dietetics Services by FSK Dietitians began at Poliklinik Warga, HCTM in 2005. This clinic provides services that include nutritional assessment and medical nutrition therapy interventions for various diseases, catering to patients referred by HCTM medical specialists. In addition to providing dietetic services, the clinic also serves as a teaching and practicum center for students in the Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition program, as well as family medicine doctors undergoing elective training in dietetic services.
To expand services to the general public outside HCTM, the “Meet Your Dietitian” Clinic was established at KKL and began operations in May 2018. In line with its function, the diet clinic at KKL is equipped with anthropometric measurement tools and household measurement equipment.
The Dietetics Clinic team consists of registered dietitians and lecturers from the Dietetics Program, who are members of the Malaysian Dietitian Association. The Dietetics Clinic is committed to providing professional, friendly, fair, and efficient services.

i) SIHAT@UKM: Cancer Health Screening Clinic

The UKM Diagnostic Imaging Clinic, located at UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus, is an upcoming clinic that will offer radiology examinations for health screening and patient diagnosis. Currently, the clinic provides basic radiology services, including general X-ray, ultrasound scans, and bone screening (DEXA scan). The clinic is still under development, requiring more time to ensure the best services for all patients.
The idea of establishing the Diagnostic Imaging Clinic was conceived after ten (10) years of operating as the first university in Malaysia to offer a Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy. In its initial phase, the clinic will provide only 20% of the total radiology services, with plans for future expansion to meet the needs of the faculty and the community.
At present, the Diagnostic Imaging Clinic offers Breast Self-Examination (BSE) services and Cancer Education Services in collaboration with Canwell and Cancer Care.

The UKM Diagnostic Imaging Clinic is dedicated to providing essential radiological services for health screening and patient diagnosis. While still in development, the clinic currently focuses on fundamental imaging procedures and cancer awareness programs.
1. Breast Self-Examination (BSE)
- The clinic offers guidance on performing Breast Self-Examinations (BSE) to help individuals detect early signs of breast abnormalities.
- This service aims to educate individuals on proper techniques and the importance of early breast cancer detection.
2. Cancer Education
- In collaboration with Canwell and Cancer Care, the clinic provides Cancer Education sessions.
- These sessions focus on cancer awareness, prevention strategies, and early detection methods.
The clinic plans to expand its services in the future to enhance radiological diagnostic capabilities for both the faculty and the public.
