Paid Maternity Leave<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-align-justify\">At UKM, all female staff are entitled to a total of <strong>360 days of fully paid maternity leave<\/strong> throughout their service. The maximum leave duration for each childbirth is 90 days. However, employees are given the flexibility to determine the length of their maternity leave for each childbirth, ranging between 60 and 90 days. Permission to leave work one hour earlier than the official working hours<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-align-justify\">The Government of Malaysia, through Service Circular Number 11 of 2017, implemented a policy allowing <strong>female officers who are five months pregnant and above to leave work one hour earlier than the normal working hours<\/strong>. This privilege is also extended to their husbands who are public service officers working in nearby locations.
