Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UKM\u2019s sustainability agenda, and its commitment to planetary health, the grant supports the development of innovative and solution-oriented projects addressing pressing environmental, social, and economic sustainability challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The grant empowers UKM academics, researchers, staff, and students to translate academic knowledge and research expertise into <strong>practical, measurable solutions<\/strong>. It encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and action-oriented approaches that can improve resource efficiency, environmental performance, social well-being, resilience, and sustainable practices within the university ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key feature of the UKM Sustainability Grant is its campus-focused implementation. Funded research and projects are undertaken within the UKM campus, enabling the university to serve as a living laboratory for sustainability, where innovative ideas can be tested, evaluated, and translated into real-world applications. The findings and solutions generated through these projects are intended to directly enhance UKM\u2019s campus sustainability practices while creating models and good practices that may have wider relevance to communities and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this initiative, UKM strengthens the integration of research, innovation, education, and institutional operations in advancing sustainable development.
