ALUSMITAI<\/strong>, the official annual e-bulletin of the Institute of Ethnic Studies (KITA), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was launched as a significant step in our efforts to record and disseminate KITA’s latest achievements in academic activities, advocacy, and social engagement to our stakeholders and the public. The first issue was published in November 2024.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The name “Alusmitai” is a metaphor for the study of ethnicity in Malaysia, the focal point of KITA’s work. Just as with the characteristics of a candy floss, the intricacies and sensitivities that underlie the formation and dynamics of living in a diverse society must be carefully understood and upheld to ensure its sweetness and delicacy are long-lasting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
