RAMZE ENDUT<br \/>\n(INSTITUTE OF ETHNIC STUDIES, UKM)<\/h3>\n<p align=\"justify\">Niklas Luhmann (1927\u20141998) merupakan seorang ahli sosiologi Jerman yang kompleks. Malah, teorinya juga&nbsp; dianggap sebagai teori kompleksiti. Ini kerana teorinya ini berasaskan pendekatan fungsianelektisme, yang menggabungkan pelbagai bidang seperti fizik, matematik, biologi, sibernetik dan falsafah. Pendekatannya ini menghasilkan suatu konsep sosiofizik yang menekankan sifat autopoiesis (self-production). Ini sekaligus&nbsp; membezakannya dengan kebanyakan ahli sosiologi yang lain. Walau bagaimanapun, buku \u201cKehadiran Makna\u201d ini ditulis bukan sekadar untuk mengupas kerumitan pemikiran Niklas Luhmann, sebaliknya cuba melampauinya? Sejauh mana pemikirannya\u2014berjaya atau tidak berjaya\u2014dilampaui?
