Nourishing the Spirit: KIZ Distributes Nutritious Meals to B40 Community<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

BANGI, 20 March 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Kolej Ibu Zain (KIZ) recently launched its annual Ramadan welfare drive titled KIZ Kongsi Rezeki Ramadan 2025<\/sup>. This initiative served as a vital support system for students and staff facing financial challenges, ensuring they could observe the fasting month with proper nourishment<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combating Campus Hunger via SDG 2<\/strong> The program aligns with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger)<\/strong> by providing direct food interventions for vulnerable groups within the university<\/sup>. Throughout the day, student volunteers managed several key logistics to ensure successful distribution<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the team focused on Immediate Food Relief by preparing and distributing 100 high-quality Iftar meals<\/sup>. These nutritious meals were targeted specifically at the B40 income group to prevent food insecurity<\/sup>. Second, the program emphasized Financial Stress Reduction<\/sup>. By providing free daily nourishment, beneficiaries were able to redirect their limited educational allowances to other essential academic needs<\/sup>. Finally, the event strengthened Campus Volunteerism, as student leaders gained hands-on experience in community service and social welfare management<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Direct Community Impact<\/strong> The initiative successfully provided immediate relief to 100 members of the KIZ community<\/sup>. The estimated RM 1,500.00 value of food distribution highlights the college’s commitment to prioritizing student and staff well-being<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
