Saringan Kesihatan & Pameran Pendidikan SLE sempena Hari Kesedaran SLE (Walk-A-Payung 2025)
This programme serves as a platform to disseminate the latest research findings on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) being conducted by the Rheumatology Unit, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, UKM, in collaboration with the Malaysian SLE Society (Grant FRGS/1/2023/SKK01/UKM/02/1 and FF-2023-275).
The activities also aim to increase knowledge and awareness about SLE among the public, patients, and caregivers.
Objective:
- Provide general education about SLE and information on research findings related to the disease through exhibitions and distributed pamphlets.
- Offer health screening services by conducting tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and body mass index (BMI), with referrals to healthcare facilities if necessary.
- Instill a sense of responsibility and volunteerism in carrying out community service programmes among the staff of the Department of Medicine.
