Taklimat dan Demonstrasi Bantuan Awal Kecemasan dan Latihan CPR kepada Penduduk Pangsapuri Lumayan

The programme, organized by the Persatuan Penduduk Pangsapuri Lumayan, was held on 30 November 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall of Pangsapuri Lumayan, Cheras. Community engagement activities began as early as 7:30 a.m. and continued until 4:00 p.m.

Among the activities conducted were Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training for the community and four small-group training sessions on basic emergency care, including wound dressing and bleeding control, fractures and splinting, infant and child CPR, as well as management of burns, drowning incidents, and several demonstrations for first responders.

The programme also included a briefing on the use of ambulance services for the local community, aimed at explaining the actual functions and appropriate use of ambulance services among Malaysians.

The activities involved nearly 300 residents and security personnel and were carried out successfully. The organizing team received positive feedback and strong cooperation from the residents throughout the programme.

Objective:

  1. To provide basic care knowledge and raise awareness among residents about the importance of emergency training and basic first aid for the local community.
  2. To strengthen engagement with the local community regarding ambulance services and the importance of understanding basic emergency treatment at home.
  3. To build collaborative networks with the community in explaining the preparedness of ambulance services and the role of the Emergency Department at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz.
  4. To cultivate awareness among staff of the Department of Medicine on the importance of sharing knowledge and expertise with the community.
  5. To encourage the establishment of at least one Emergency Response Team (ERT) among residents of Pangsapuri Lumayan to respond effectively to emergency situations.
