Department of Medical Education together with Department of Emergency Medicine recently conducted a hands-on Resilience & Decision-Making (Medical Simulation) programme at Sri Aria School as part of the Al-Fikr Leadership Camp.
This two-hour module was designed specially for students aged 11–17 to build emergency-awareness, emotional resilience and calm decision-making skills through simulated real-life situations.
Students rotated through two core themes; Sport’s Day Chaos and Quiet Storm Games, where they learned to assess safety, communicate as a team, apply simple emergency steps, and understand when to seek adult help.
Objective:
At the end of the program, students should be able to:
recognize common sports-day chaos/emergencies.
understand basic emergency response principles.
check if the area is safe like a safety detective.
try the basic CPR steps for adults.
display teamwork, leadership and calm decision-making.
recognize how stress affects thinking, focus, and decision-making.
show cooperative communication.
