Basic to Advanced Cell Culture Workshop

The Basic to Advanced Cell Culture Workshop was organized by DTERM with the aim of sharing knowledge and providing in-depth exposure to tissue processing, cell culture maintenance, cell cryopreservation, immunocytochemical staining, and analysis. The program was successfully conducted from 10–12 June 2025 and involved lecturers, research officers, science officers, and support staff from DTERM. It received enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students of both public and private universities, as well as representatives from industry.

The workshop featured a combination of lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions at DTERM, covering key topics such as aseptic techniques, human tissue processing, cell extraction, cryopreservation methods, and immunocytochemistry. Participants were also introduced to cell development and characterization techniques. The program concluded with an engaging Q&A session, providing all participants with the opportunity to further enhance their understanding through direct interaction with experienced facilitators and lecturers.

Objective:

  1. To provide exposure to communities in need of knowledge on primary cell culture and immunocytochemical analysis
  2. To increase departmental revenue generation
