Beaches are among the most valuable natural treasures, not only as natural habitats for various species of flora and fauna, but also as recreational areas and sources of income for surrounding communities. However, the threats of pollution and the destruction of coastal areas due to littering and the lack of environmental awareness are increasingly alarming.

Recognizing the importance of preserving and conserving the beauty and ecosystem of the beach, the Department of Pharmacology has taken the initiative to organize the “Sustainable Coast” program as a collective effort to carry out beach-cleaning and tree-planting activities in coastal areas.
