The health screening results of The Malaysian Cohort (TMC) participants were managed by Results and Feedback Unit. It is responsible to generate a printed version of screening result, and deliver it to TMC participants. The printed result serves as a token of appreciation and incentives for the participants who completed all recruitment procedures which includes blood analysis, biophysical measurements, and questionnaire session. Also, it serves as a feedback for the participants to learn more about their general well-being. In the result sheet sent to participants, it contains a letter of appreciation (from the project leader), as well as the respective result sheet. Various information such as of blood analysis, urine analysis, body composition, and biophysical measurements (that includes measurements of anthropometry, blood pressure, and spirometry) could be found in the result sheet. Meanwhile, the printed electrocardiogram (lung function test) will only be provided upon request.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

TMC consult the participants based on the referred sources. Thus, it is noteworthy that a disclaimer could be found on the result sheet. This indicates that TMC would not take any responsibility and would not guarantee for the precision of the consultation. Hence, with TMC\u2019s result sheet, the participants are advised to seek professional medical advices from their physician.<\/span><\/p>\n

TMC employs Pos Malaysia as the courier to deliver the result letter to participant. It is sent in bulk. The result will be posted to the participants within 14 working days, starts from the date of recruitment. Health Status of Participant: A Follow-Up\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

TMC will follow-up the health status of every participant annually via telephone interview. All health-related events such as chronic illness, as well as medication and hospitalization experiences will be recorded manually in the Health Diary Information Management System, HeDIMS, by trained research assistants. Apart from that, TMC will also update the death record every six months, through counter-verification of mortality data with the National Registration Department.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keputusan Dan Maklumbalas<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

Hasil keputusan saringan kesihatan peserta The Malaysian Cohort (TMC) diuruskankan oleh Unit Keputusan dan Maklumbalas. Unit ini bertanggungjawab dalam mencetak dan menghantar keputusan kepada peserta TMC. Lembaran keputusan yang dicetak adalah sebagai tanda penghargaan dan insentif kepada para peserta yang telah menjalani semua prosedur rekrutmen iaitu analisis darah, pengukuran biofizikal dan sesi soal selidik. Di samping itu, lembaran keputusan ini juga berfungsi sebagai rujukan kepada para peserta untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai tahap kesihatan umum mereka. Dalam lembaran keputusan yang dihantar kepada peserta, terdapat dua lampiran yang disertakan iaitu surat penghargaan daripada ketua projek dan lembaran keputusan ujian saringan kesihatan yang dijalankan oleh peserta. Pelbagai maklumat seperti analisis darah, analisis urin, komposisi tubuh dan pengukuran biofizikal (yang meliputi pengukuran antropometri, tekanan darah dan spirometri) boleh didapati daripada lembaran keputusan ini. Sementara itu, keputusan elektrokardiogram (ujian fungsi jantung) hanya akan di pos atas permintaan sahaja.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Penerangan keputusan yang terdapat dalam lembaran keputusan adalah berdasarkan sumber yang dirujuk. Oleh itu, sebarang penafian boleh didapati dilembaran keputusan. Ini menjelaskan bahawa TMC tidak akan bertanggungjawab dan tidak menjamin ketepatan hasil keputusan. Oleh itu, para peserta disarankan untuk mendapatkan nasihat perubatan profesional daripada doktor mereka ke atas keputusan yang diterima.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

TMC menggunakan khidmat Pos Malaysia sebagai kurier untuk menghantar surat keputusan kepada peserta. Ia dihantar secara pukal. Proses pengeposan surat keputusan kepada peserta dilakukan dalam tempoh masa 14 hari bekerja bermula dari tarikh rekrutmen berlangsung. Tahap Kesihatan Peserta : Kajian Susulan<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

The Malaysian Cohort akan menyusul status kesihatan para peserta setiap tahun melalui temu bual telefon. Setiap peristiwa yang berkaitan dengan tahap kesihatan seperti penyakit kronik, rawatan dan kemasukan wad akan direkodkan secara manual dalam Sistem Pengurusan Maklumat Diari Kesihatan, HeDIMS, oleh pembantu penyelidik terlatih. Selain itu, TMC juga akan mengemas kini rekod kematian setiap enam bulan, melalui pengesahan data kematian dengan Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
