Alumni Council to Create Links Between Alumni Groups And UKM

BANGI, March 14, 2016 – The Alumni Council of the National University of Malaysia (UKM) will be established in an effort to create a link between the various alumni associations and groups in UKM, said its Protem Chairman, Dato’ Dr Mohamad Abdul Razak.

He said the establishment of the council will bridge the cooperation between alumni and the university and attract more graduates to join the alumni.

He assured that the Alumni Council does not intend to take over the tasks of alumni associations but instead aims to encourage and assist them in whatever way possible.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali said the Alumni Council is acts as a platform for the university to connect with the various alumni associations.

The Alumni Council consists of 16 members, including the posts of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.

To date, UKM had produced about 176,000 alumni.ukmnewsportal-eg
