Prior to that other universities only offered such courses at the diploma level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A highlight of his career was in 2003 when he was appointed UKM\u2019s Vice-Chancellor, a position he held until his retirement in 2006.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prof Mohd Salleh started his career at UKM in 1974. He was appointed a tutor in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine.
