Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), University Teknologi Mara (UiTM,) UKM Medical Centre (UKMMC), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM) took part in the two day convention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UKM Bursar, Mohd Abdul Rashid Bin Mohd Fadzil said the convention is aimed at resolving typical problems in the bursar departments of universities while also discussing evolvement of a good mechanism towards establishing an effective delivery system as outlined in the\u00a0 Higher Education Strategic Plan of Vision 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Public universities, he said, needed to emphasis more on the delivery systems as they often deal with academics and students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe must be prepared to use service-oriented IT systems to reduce red tape and allow most of the information to be accessed via the information system,\u201d he said at the closing ceremony of the Convention\u00a0 at Puri Pujangga in UKM today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He hoped such conventions continue to be held in the future in the effort to produce creative and innovative staffs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The One Touch team representing UKMMC came out second with the IQ team, representing UiTM winning the third prize.
