 Towards Greater Years Together!

Overview

The course will introduce and provide you on the knowledge of Malaysian tropical ecosystem. Participant will learn about the concept of nature heritage, sustainable development of nature conservation and the physical landscape and bio-diversity of Malaysia's tropical ecosystem. The course offers a total of four credits hour and participants will receive a certificate and academic trancript upon completion of the programme.

Objectives

  • Enable participants to understand better the natural heritage concept and observe the integrated conservation efforts for sustainability and eco-tourism.

  • Allow participants to experience at first hand and document visually various geological and biological heritage of Malaysia's environmental landscape.

  • Enable participants to explore the various conservation initiatives in Malaysia.

WEEK 1

Lecture series on intercultural, conservation, governance, heritage and biodiversity in Malaysia.

WEEK 2

Experiential learning to several traditional conservation sites.

WEEK 3

Experiential learning to integrated conservation sites.

  • Cultural trips
  • Group cultural performances
  • Basic conversational Malay language

Program fee covers the following:

  • Accommodation
  • Land arrangements

  • Entrance fees to cultural and conservation sites
