Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) for the implementation of the Professional Certificate in Women’s Leadership

On 18 November 2025, the team from the Tun Fatimah Hashim Women’s Leadership Centre (PKWTFH) visited Shah Alam to establish a strategic partnership with Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) for the implementation of the Professional Certificate in Women’s Leadership under the Women’s Leadership Academy (AKW).

This collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held yesterday at Wisma Dewan Negeri Selangor, Shah Alam, witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor.

The ceremony signifies PKWTFH’s firm commitment to strengthening women’s leadership development through structured and accredited professional training programmes. This initiative supports the aspiration to enhance women’s participation in decision-making processes in the state of Selangor.

As an institution that focuses on research and the development of women’s leadership, PKWTFH remains committed to leading the creation of high-quality training modules to nurture knowledgeable, skilled, and capable women leaders.

The ceremony was also attended by the Selangor Executive Councillor for Women’s Development and Social Welfare, Puan Anfaal Saari; Member of the UKM Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad; UKM Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic and International Affairs, Prof Dr Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor; and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof Dr Kadaruddin Aiyub.
