Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls: A Multidisciplinary Perspective Program
Tun Fatimah Hashim Women’s Leadership Centre (TFHWLC), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK) organised the programme “Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls: A Multidisciplinary Perspective” on 10 December 2025, in collaboration with the UKM Women’s Association (SUKMANITA) and the Embassy of Mexico in Malaysia.
Held in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the programme was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Network Affairs), Prof. Dr. Bariah Mohd Ali.
We were also honoured to feature Tan Sri Dr. Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad, Member of the University Board of Directors and Senior Fellow of PKWTFH, who delivered the keynote address, emphasising the importance of addressing violence against women and girls.
The programme was further enriched by panel sessions featuring three distinguished speakers:

PKWTFH also extends its sincere appreciation to the Dean of FSSK, Prof. Dr. Kadaruddin Aiyub, for his full support from the planning stage through to the implementation of the programme. His presence throughout the event reflected a strong commitment to advancing the women’s empowerment agenda at UKM.
Also present was the Head of PKWTFH, Dr. Noremy Md. Akhir, who led the overall management and coordination of the programme.
