Greetings and welcome to the Center for Research in Language and Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. We hope you will make the best of your study at UKM and we are here to support you every step of the way.<\/em><\/p>

The Center offers two undergraduate honours programmes; English Language Studies and Linguistics. There are three postgraduate programmes at the Masters level, which are English Language Studies, Linguistics, and Post-Colonial English Literature. We also have students who are enrolled in the PhD program and these research students conduct research in various topics related to English Language Studies, Linguistics, and Literature. The Center offers foreign languages to all students at UKM. There are nine foreign languages that you can choose to enrol during your studies, which are French, German, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, Thai, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese.<\/em><\/p>

The teaching and learning facilities at the Centre includes a lecture hall, seminar rooms for tutorials and discussions, multimedia labs, active learning classrooms, eye tracker lab, digital language labs, language research labs <\/em>and a resource room. The Students Club for undergraduate students is active in assisting students\u2019 involvement and participation in various activities at the Centre, the Faculty, and the university level.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>

We hope that you will discover over the next few years of your study at UKM that you have made the right decision to study here because you will be joining a lively, diverse, and warm community of lecturers and students. You will be exploring UKM and the Center\u2019s rich array of learning experiences in the next few years as you develop your pathway to your future.
