Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Adib Ibrahim is a Research Fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) since 2007. He has working experience about 7 years as Senior Engineers of Process and Quality Assurance in the industry of electric and electronic components at Company of Matsushita Panasonic Groups before joint UKM. His education background in chemical engineering obtained from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and UKM. He also holds Master in Business Administration (MBA). He obtained his PhD in Engineering Sciences at University of Southampton, UK with his researches on light harvesting materials development via Langmuir Blodgett technique on the silicon for solar photovoltaic. He also develops theoretical study on the energy conversion of photosynthesis which has similarities of energy transfer in photovoltaic system. In particular, he is interested in developing nanostructured layer in forms of nanowire, nanotube, nanorod or by wet-chemical passivation technique; investigating surface recombination velocity of passivating layers; exploring organic materials, graphene additive and metal oxide for novel structure photovoltaics device; examining physical and electrical properties of advance materials for photovoltaic application and fabricating of silicon solar cells as well as thin film technology.
