Research Fund – STEM Project
We are excited to announce that Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Shaiful Sajab, our esteemed lead researcher, has been awarded a research fund of RM 25,000. This funding will support his STEM project titled “3DP STEAMulation Programme” The project aims to introduce new modules of 3D printing and innovation to spark students’ interest in STEM. Through these modules, students will have the opportunity to design their own solutions to help society, improve the environment, and even create prototypes for their own creative ideas.
In addition to fostering creativity and problem-solving skills, the project will also focus on sustainability. It will cover the use of 3D printing for plastic recycling and the development of functionalized materials. By incorporating these elements, the programme aims to educate students on the importance of sustainable practices and the potential of 3D printing technology to address environmental challenges. Students will learn how to recycle plastic waste into new, functional products, promoting a circular economy and reducing environmental impact.
Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Mohd Shaiful Sajab and his team on this remarkable achievement! We look forward to seeing the positive impact of the “3DP STEAMulation Programme” on students and the broader community.
