Research Visit – Taichung, Taiwan

We are excited to share that our team had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Green Synergy Solution Workshop, focused on “Carbon Reduction in Eco-village Building Global Common Good with Green Synergy.” The workshop took place from July 15-18, 2024, in Taichung, Taiwan, and was fully sponsored by Feng Chia University.

Our researcher, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Shaiful Sajab, was invited to represent our team at this prestigious event. During the workshop, we delved into various technologies related to Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). The event provided a platform for us to learn from both university research and industry actions, gaining valuable insights into the latest advancements in carbon reduction technologies.

One of the highlights of our visit was exploring the expertise of Taiwan in biochar production. We had the opportunity to visit several places, including industry-related sites such as Tchar Co. Ltd., where we learned from Taiwanese experts about the innovative processes involved in biochar production. These visits were instrumental in broadening our understanding of sustainable practices and the practical applications of CCUS technologies.

The workshop was a remarkable experience, allowing us to engage with international experts, share knowledge, and discuss collaborative efforts to address global environmental challenges. We are grateful to Feng Chia University for this invitation and their generous sponsorship, which made this enriching experience possible.
