Award – Inovasi Nanoteknologi (PIN) 2022

We are delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Mrs. Wan Nazihah Liyana Wan Jusoh, who won a first place at the Projek Inovasi Nanoteknologi (PIN) 2022 organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). The competition was held at Bangi Resort Hotel from 6 to 9 September 2022, bringing together researchers and innovators from across Malaysia to showcase cutting-edge advancements in nanotechnology.

Her winning research focuses on the use of nanocellulose-based biomaterials integrated with 3D printing applications, highlighting innovative approaches to sustainable material development and green manufacturing technologies. This groundbreaking work demonstrates the potential of renewable resources in shaping the future of biofabrication and nanotechnology.

Her innovation earned her the top prize of RM 1,500, presented by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) himself. The recognition reflects her creativity, scientific excellence, and impactful contribution to Malaysia’s nanotechnology research landscape.

Adding to this proud moment, her success was also featured in Harian Metro on 9 September 2022, in an article emphasizing MOSTI’s efforts to reduce the gap within Malaysia’s nanotechnology ecosystem (MNIG) and strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and government sectors. Her achievement embodies this vision, showcasing how local researchers are driving innovation toward a sustainable and technology-driven future.
