STEM – Sime Darby Property

Our research team had the opportunity to take part in the Urban Farming and Sustainable Living Program, held at Sime Darby Property Bandar Bukit Raja, Selangor, an inspiring community-based initiative promoting sustainable practices and environmental awareness among the local residents.

In this meaningful event, three of our team members were invited as speakers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Shaiful Sajab, Wan Nazihah Liyana Wan Jusoh and Muhammad Alif Fitri delivering insightful talks on plastic recycling and 3D printing technology. The session also featured a live 3D printing demonstration, where participants witnessed how digital designs can be transformed into real objects showcasing the potential of repurposing plastic waste into new and useful products.

The program not only raised awareness about eco-friendly innovation and waste reduction, but also encouraged the local community to explore sustainable solutions through technology and creativity. It served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, hands-on learning, and fostering a collective spirit of environmental responsibility within the Bukit Raja community.
