Exhibition @ NICE2025

We are proud to share that our team was invited as an exhibitor at the National Innovation and Creative Economy Expo (NICE 2025), organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). The event took place from 6–9 October 2025, bringing together innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across Malaysia to celebrate creativity and sustainable technology.

Representing Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Roobah Sdn. Bhd. under the Startup University initiative, our team Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Shaiful Sajab, Dr. Wan Nazihah Liyana, Mrs. Siti Aisyah Syazwani, and Mr. Asswin Veerapatran showcased our latest research and development in biopolybutylene succinate (bioPBS) as a sustainable additive manufacturing material.

Our exhibition highlighted how bioPBS, a biodegradable and bio-based polymer, can serve as an eco-friendly alternative in 3D printing and other manufacturing applications. This innovation aligns closely with Malaysia’s vision for a circular economy and sustainable industrial growth.

Throughout the four-day expo, we received overwhelming interest and engagement from various industry representatives and government agencies, who were eager to explore collaboration opportunities and discuss pathways for scaling this green technology.

The experience at NICE 2025 not only strengthened our network within Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem but also reaffirmed our commitment to advancing sustainable materials and technology transfer from university research to real-world application.

We extend our gratitude to MOSTI for the invitation and to UKM and Roobah Sdn. Bhd. for their continuous support in driving university innovation into the national startup landscape.
