he 53rd Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) this year celebrated not only academic excellence but also groundbreaking innovation when Dr Wan Nazihah Liyana Wan Jusoh was honoured with the Hadiah Buku Inovasi MTDC, one of the most coveted awards recognising outstanding research and commercialisation potential among UKM scholars.

The award, sponsored by the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), is presented annually to researchers whose work demonstrates significant potential for industrial application, societal impact, and alignment with the nation’s innovation agenda. Dr Wan Nazihah’s achievements stood out for their scientific rigour, novelty, and ability to bridge academic discovery with real-world use.
