Dr. Wan Nazihah Liyana Wan Jusoh has been officially honored with the prestigious 1st Place Best Thesis Award 2025 by the Malaysian Society of Agricultural and Food Engineers (MSAE). This incredible milestone was celebrated in style at the National Agricultural and Food Engineering Convention 2026 (NAFEC 2026), held on May 12, 2026, at the beautiful Klana Resort Seremban in Negeri Sembilan.
Dr. Wan Nazihah Liyana’s award-winning research delves into the cutting-edge intersection of biotechnology and sustainable engineering. Her thesis, titled:“The Fabrication of Cellulose-Based Hydrogel Ink for 3D Bioprinting Microalgae Cultivation Chlorella Vulgaris“marks a significant leap forward in bio-fabrication. By developing an innovative cellulose-based hydrogel ink specifically designed for 3D bioprinting, her work opens up exciting new pathways for optimizing Chlorella Vulgaris (microalgae) cultivation. This research has massive implications for the future of sustainable agriculture, biofuel production, and carbon capture technologies.
