Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) 2025
The Third Country Training Programme (TCTP), held from January 20 to February 7, 2025, serves as an educational platform to enhance understanding and capacity-building in Renewable Energy Technologies across ASEAN member countries. The program aims to strengthen regional cooperation and knowledge transfer in support of ASEAN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Delegates from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand are participating in this program, sharing expertise and perspectives on sustainable energy practices and innovation. We are also proud to have our esteemed members, Dr. Wan Nazihah Liyana Wan Jusoh, joining the initiative and contributing their professional insights on sustainable energy development and research collaboration.
The comprehensive program covers a wide range of topics, including technology progress in electric vehicle (EV), biogas and gasification, renewable energy, carbon capture, biodiesel production, and life cycle assessment (LCA). In addition to lectures and technical sessions, participants take part in group projects, where multidisciplinary teams comprising delegates from various ASEAN countries collaborate to develop proposals for potential regional partnerships and renewable energy initiatives.
The program also includes cultural exchange activities, fostering intercultural understanding and regional solidarity among participants.
Through this initiative, participants gain both theoretical and practical insights into the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainability, while promoting innovation, collaboration, and environmental responsibility within the ASEAN community.
