Introduction

Master of Engineering (Environmental) is offered by Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, UKM. This programme provides an integrated background in environmental science which covers ecosystem and environmental impacts and management, liquidand solid waste management and treatment, waste water engineering and air pollution equipment design.

Programme Advantages :

    • In line to the development of current knowledge and fulfill industry and stakeholders requirement
    • Master of Environmental Engineering provides an integrated background in environmental science which covers ecosystem and environmental impacts and management, liquid and solid waste management and treatment, waste water engineering and air pollution equipment design.
    • This programme is a multidiscipline programme that integrate three engineering programmes i.e. chemical engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
Entry Requirement
    • A Bachelor of Engineering degree with honours (CGPA 2.75 and above) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university; or

    • a) CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants

      b) CGPA 2.0 – 2.49 with at least 3 years working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants; or

    • A Bachelor of Science degree with honours (minimum CGPA 3.50) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university; or

    • A bachelor science degree with honours (CGPA 3.49 and below) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university with at least 3 years working experience in engineering or related fields after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants

    • Requirement for English Language
      For international candidates, requirements for English Language is minimum 550 (TOEFL) or 5.5 (IELTS).

Introduction

Master of Engineering Microelectronic is a specialised program in the field of microelectronics for postgraduate studies. The program includes a variety of advanced courses related to the field of microelectronics and nanoelectronics. The courses offered are in line with latest development in the knowledge domain that meet the needs of the microelectronic industry. These courses are constantly improved so that it remains relevant to the latest development in science and technology. Syllabus has been developed taking into account the views and suggestions from various stakeholders including relevant industry. At the end of this program, graduates will be able to meet its obligations as trained engineers who have in-depth knowledge in the field of microelectronics.

    • CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants;  or

    •  Bachelor of Science degree with honours (minimum CGPA 3.50) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university; or

    • A bachelor science degree with honours (CGPA 3.49 and below) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university with at least 3 years working experience in engineering or related fields after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants.

The Computer Science program is designed with strong computing fundamental that provides students with the required skills to solve problems and create future computing technology.     • Students from Matriculation / Foundation or its equivalent can be exempted from taking Reinforcement Mathematics, provided that the Mathematics offered at the program level is equivalent / more than the Additional Mathematics offered at the SPM level.

Possess a Diploma in Computing and related equivalents from an Educational Institution recognized by the University and Government of Malaysia and obtain at least a CGPA of 3.00;

Introduction

The Geography program offers knowledge that combines the core of social sciences (human geography) and natural sciences (physical geography). Graduates acquire theoretical and practical knowledge as well as skills in geospatial technology, scientific research, and appreciation of environmental values and human life. Graduates will be able to synthesize geographical knowledge related to sustainable development and environmental sustainability.

1.HPP1: Berupaya memerihal pengetahuan dan kefahaman tentang teori dan prinsip asas psikologi serta metod penyelidikan psikologi terkini yang didapati daripada sumber-sumber kesarjanaan.
2.HPP2: Mengaplikasi kaedah penyelidikan asas dalam psikologi termasuk aspek rekabentuk kajian, analisis dan interpretasi data dalam pelbagai bidang pengkhususan.

Introduction

The Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Dawah and Leadership) focuses on helping students gain expertise in Islamic preaching and leadership to become skilled and professional preachers in today’s world. The program supports the university’s vision of creating a knowledgeable and virtuous society. It offers three modules: Islamic Management, Islamic Counseling, and Islamic Communication. Students can choose from three modes: Mainstream, Distance Learning, and the UKM International Program (UKMi). The program aims to produce graduates witha  strong knowledge of Islamic principles, leadership skills, and the ability to conduct research in Islamic studies. Graduates can pursue careers in education, management, administration, diplomacy, media, entrepreneurship, and more.

Possess a relevant Diploma from an Educational Institution recognized by the Malaysian University and Government and have obtained a minimum CGPA of 2.70; 

OR 

Possess a relevant Diploma from an Educational Institution recognized by the Malaysian University and Government and have obtained a minimum CGPA of 2.50 with one (1) year of work experience; 

AND 

Candidates are required to submit academic transcripts from Semester one (1) to the final Semester;

Obtain at least Grade C/6C credit at SPM level in one (1) of the following subjects:

    • Arabic Language
    • Al-Lughah al-Arabiyah al-Mu‘asirah
    • Turath Bahasa Arab
    • Al-Adab wa al-Balaghah

Obtain at least an average of Grade B (3.00) in Arabic Language at Diploma level;

Obtain Grade D/E at the SPM level and have a Certificate of Arabic Language Proficiency with at least band A2 (based on CEFR- The Common European Framework of Reference for Language) or equivalent from an Educational Institution recognized by the Faculty (for applications through the Centre for Further Education & Professional Development, UKM only)

AND
