The Ocean Acidification Laboratory was set up in 2014, with major funding from Earth Observation Centre (EOC), IPI and was supported by the Chair with the grant research. The core research in this laboratory will focus on investigating the impact of temperature increase on the physiology and behaviour of various marine species. Apart from changes in seawater temperature, research on reduced pH and altered seawater carbonate system which are also very important in ocean climate change study will also be conducted.
