BACKGROUND
The UKM-YSD Chair in Climate Change was established on 15 March 2010 to enhance research and academic capabilities in area of climate change. Since 22 January 2013, this Chair has been managed by the Institute of Climate Change (IPI) in consultation with Yayasan Sime Darby.
Objectives of the Chair
To provide a platform for a mutually beneficial partnership between UKM and YSD in using research excellence in climate change:
To invite relevant international experts to address knowledge gaps regarding climate change:
To develop expertise and competent human resource in climate change;
To promote research and development in climate change pertaining to the impact and the mitigating measures needed to cope with climate
