Biography:
Hasani Mohd Ali is a Professor of law at the Faculty of Law, UKM. He obtained his LL.B (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia in 1994 and LL.M in 1996 from Sheffield University. He continued his study for a PhD in 2002 and obtained his PhD in 2005 from Dundee University. He is specializing in company law and the related areas including corporate governance, securities regulation and insolvency. He is actively involved and conducting research in his areas of interest. He publishes widely and had his works published by the renowned publishers and in indexed journals. He has many administrative experiences in academics particularly when he served as a deputy dean in charge of research, postgraduate, international and industrial relation from 2012 until 2014. He is also members of various committees at national level including under Companies Commission of Malaysia, Ministry of Higher Education and Public Services Department of Malaysia. He is also invited as external examiner and to give public lectures and presentations at various universities and research institutions within Malaysia as well as internationally including in Indonesia, People’s Republic of China and Japan. Particularly, he was invited as a visiting professor for a course entitled “International Corporate Law and Practices” in Faculty of Law, Kobe University in 2016.
