 16th ASIAN BIOHYDROGEN AND BIOREFINERY SYMPOSIUM

The Sustainability Challenge 2021 is the fourth series of competition organized by the Research Centre for Sustainable Process Technology (CESPRO) with the objective of exploring and developing innovative ideas on sustainability. The previous competitions were held successfully on November 18, 2015, November 29, 2017 and December 12, 2019 by the UKM-YSD Chair for Sustainable Development.

For the fourth challenge this year, the Sustainability Challenge (SC) 2021: Innovation and Invention Competition will be held virtually on December 17, 2021. This competition will be divided into two main categories: school category and university category. The participants in the school category will compete in the preliminary stage through Sime Darby Young Innovators Challenge (SDYIC) hosted by Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD), while the participants in the university category will enter directly through SC. The selected finalists of SDYIC will pitch their ideas in the Sustainability Challenge 2021: Innovation and Invention Competition on December 15, 2021. On the other hand, the best candidates for university category will be selected to pitch their ideas in front of the Grand Jury on December 16, 2021. The top 3 winners in the school category will receive cash prizes, while the top 3 winners, 7 consolation winners, and 1 best video winner in the university category will receive cash prizes.
