Professor Dr Sok-Ying is an advocate for the use of simulation technology to replicate real-world clinical environment in healthcare training. She has led an interdisciplinary team to create a novel virtual reality simulation known as Create Real-time Experience and Teamwork in Virtual Environment (CREATIVE). Her CREATIVE has made it possible to bring students from six healthcare courses (medical, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy occupational therapy and social work) across three Singapore educational institutions to undertake interprofessional education (IPE) on multidisciplinary team training.
