Prof. Dr. Mihaela van der Schaar is the John Humphrey Plummer Professor of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Medicine at the University of Cambridge, where she directs the Cambridge Centre for AI in Medicine, and also serves as Chancellor’s Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her pioneering research spans algorithms for video streaming, networked systems, and advanced machine learning applications in healthcare, with a focus on personalised medicine, clinical decision support, and resource optimisation. Holding over 35 U.S. patents, she has shaped global technology standards and driven the integration of AI into medical practice. Elected a Fellow of the IEEE in 2009 for her contributions to multimedia communication systems and a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2024 for her transformative work in AI for medicine, she was named the most-cited female AI researcher in the UK in 2019. Through her interdisciplinary leadership, she continues to unite engineering and medical science to deliver innovations that improve patient outcomes and transform healthcare delivery worldwide.
Sarawak AI Centre, Malaysia
Prof. Dr. Patrick Then is the CEO of the Sarawak Artificial Intelligence Centre (SAIC), a state-owned initiative he assumed in March 2025. SAIC drives high-impact AI research and supports policymaking across AI governance, talent development, and technological innovation in Sarawak. Before this, he was Head of the School of Information and Communication Technologies and Director of the Centre for Digital Futures at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak. A distinguished leader in digital health and health informatics, he has earned recognition as a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology for his collaborations in cardiovascular digital solutions. He also serves as President of the Society for Design and Process Science (USA) and holds key advisory roles in regional development and technical standards.

Dr. Zahiruddin Fitri bin Abu Hassan is a Senior Lecturer in Building Surveying at the Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya. He holds a Ph.D. in Concrete Technology from the University of Dundee and an MSc in Building Surveying from the University of the West of England, along with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and a Diploma in Quantity Surveying from UTM. His expertise spans building pathology, concrete durability, construction technology, and e-learning innovation. He served as Head of e-Learning at UM’s Academic Enhancement & Leadership Development Centre (2014–2024) and was Deputy Director (e-Learning Innovation and Technology) from 2020–2022. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurbiha A. Shukor, PhD (Educational Technology), is an academic at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in the School of Education’s Department of Educational Science, Mathematics and Creative Multimedia. She earned her PhD in Educational Technology from UTM in 2012 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Computer with Education (Chemistry) from the same university. She has served as Deputy Director at UTM’s Center for Academic Leadership and has been Chair of the Public University e-Learning Council (MEIPTA) since 2020. Her expertise includes educational data mining, online learning, and learning analytics, leading numerous projects locally and internationally.

Dr. Elizabeth Koh is a Senior Education Research Scientist (Senior Lecturer) at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her research focuses on computer-supported collaborative learning, learning analytics, and lifelong learning. Grounded in the Learning Sciences and Educational Technology, she has developed formative learning analytics systems to support academic and lifelong learning skills. She has led multiple research grants with local and international collaborators, school leaders, educators and education officers. Besides publishing in several peer-reviewed journals and conferences, she is also Co-Editor of the international journal, Learning: Research and Practice.

Dr. Mohamad Fadli bin Khairie, MD, MPH, DrPH, is a Public Health Physician and Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Health Informatics Centre under the Planning Division of Malaysia’s Ministry of Health. He leads the Malaysian Health Data Warehouse and spearheads strategic digital health initiatives, including GIS-driven dashboards for COVID-19 response, facility mapping, and disaster preparedness. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Volgograd State Medical University in 2010, followed by a Master’s and Doctor of Public Health from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2017 and 2020. He is also an active advocate for public health awareness and education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasana Raksamani, M.D., M.H.P.E., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Her expertise includes cardiothoracic and paediatric anaesthesia as well as health professions education. She is particularly interested in cognitive processes, non-technical skills, diagnostic errors, and curriculum design in anaesthesia training. Her research spans clinical and educational domains, with notable work in optimising airway management techniques, including studies on lung ultrasonography for double-lumen tube positioning. Dr. Kasana is committed to advancing anaesthesia practice and education through research, innovation, and the mentoring of future healthcare professionals.
