3 March 2026 – The Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, UKM welcomed an official visit from Prof. Dr. Azlina Abdul Aziz in conjunction with the External Examiner Visit for the Final Examination of Semester 1, Year 1, Academic Session 2025/2026.

As part of the programme itinerary, a visit to the Biochemistry Research Laboratory was held from 9.00 to 10.00 a.m. at the Level 11, Preclinical Block. The visit aimed to provide the external examiner with a comprehensive overview of the department’s research facilities, laboratory infrastructure, and ongoing research activities.

During the session, she was briefed on the department’s current research focus areas, the utilisation of laboratory equipment, and the involvement of academic staff and postgraduate students in various research projects. The visit also served as a platform for professional exchange and discussion in strengthening research culture and enhancing the department’s academic quality.

This visit reflects the Department of Biochemistry’s commitment to maintaining high standards in both teaching and research, in line with academic requirements and external evaluation processes. It is hoped that such professional engagements will continue to foster collaboration and academic excellence in the future.
