Research Lecture by Prof. Dr. Azlina Binti Abdul Aziz
3 March 2026 – The Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, UKM had the honour of hosting a research lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Azlina Abdul Aziz in conjunction with her visit as External Examiner for the Final Examination of Semester 1, Year 1, Academic Session 2025/2026.
The lecture, titled “Unlocking the Biological Secrets of Tamarind – A Summary of a Decade of Research and Discovery”, was attended by academic staff, postgraduate students, research assistants, and laboratory personnel. The session provided valuable insights into a decade of comprehensive research on tamarind, highlighting its biological properties, potential therapeutic applications, and significant scientific findings.
During the lecture, Prof. Dr. Azlina shared her research journey, key discoveries, and the challenges encountered throughout the years. The session fostered an engaging academic discussion and encouraged knowledge exchange among participants, particularly in the areas of translational research and innovation in biochemistry.
