Cell signalling is a molecular mechanism of signals that elicit appropriate responses in cell event such as adhesion, proliferation, differentiation, and migration. At CTERM, we used stem cells as a model to study on various biological signals inclusive of growth factors and bioactive compound prior to be incorporated into biomaterials. This will activate series of post-translational modification protein which remarkably specific and sensitive. Therefore, identifying these signals and mechanisms are essential to understand how cells are regulated and which of them are evolutionarily conserved. The information is then can be adapted to understand the process and prevention of disease development and progression.
