EDITORIAL POLICY

Aim & Scope
Proceeding of PERKEM is published annually by School of Economics (SoE), Faculty of Economics and Management, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as publication venues for articles submitted for the Malaysian National Economic Conference (Persidangan Kebangsaan Ekonomi Malaysia (PERKEM)) organized by SoE. Emphasis will be placed on the Malaysian economics. We welcome submission of manuscripts in the areas of economics, management, business, finance, Islamic economics and finance which are original and not under consideration for any other publication at the same time.


Regularity
Proceedings of PERKEM are published on annual basis prior to the conference since 2006. 2006 & 2007 proceedings are available in book of proceedings (hardcopy) whilst 2008 until 2013 proceedings are available online. All series of proceedings are with ISBN/ISSN.


Peer-Review
Manuscripts submitted for the conference will be peer-reviewed (abstract & full paper) to ensure academic rigor and confirm the conference theme set every year. In the first stage, abstracts will be reviewed by the paper Committees to ensure they fulfill the theme. In the second stage, the Committees will be responsible for forwarding the manuscripts to anonymous reviewers, selected for their expertise in the respective fields. Reviewers can be among faculty members of School of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management, UKM and other Institutions.


Publication Ethics
It is important to avoid: data fabrication and falsification; plagiarism; multiple submissions; redundant publications and improper author contribution or attribution. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is an original unpublished work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. The content of the manuscripts shall be the sole responsibility of the authors. Any opinions expressed are those of the authors.


Copyright
We do not hold copyright of all papers published in the proceedings. Authors are free to submit their papers for other publication, i.e. journal.


Citation
All materials taken from articles in these proceedings need proper citation. Suggested citation:

Publication in Jurnal Ekonomi Malaysia (Malaysian Journal of Economic)
Selected presented papers in the conference will be considered to be published in the Jurnal Ekonomi Malaysia (JEM). JEM is a Scopus indexed journal and published by UKM Press. Standard JEM selection procedures applies.


Submission
We accept manuscripts in Bahasa Melayu and English. All manuscripts must comply with PERKEM Proceedings submission requirements. Electronic submission via conference management system (confbay) is requested. Details of the submission guideline can be found in the annual PERKEM conference website.
