Course overview
This programme is designed to produce graduates in architecture who are creative and innovative, and possess high moral and ethical values. Graduates are educated so that they are able to develop knowledge in built environment and produce architecture that is relevant to the current needs while maintaining national architectural heritage and identity, in line with the mission of UKM to internationalise knowledge rooted in the national culture. Important elements of architecture such as community and sustainability are also emphasised in this programme. This Master of Architecture programme is also in line with the requirements of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) to meet national human resource needs in related industries in the public and private sectors, in accordance with current market demand and long-term local and global prospects.
Academic Requirements
CGPA 3.00 and above : Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honors from a University recognized by the Senate of UKM and the Malaysian Architects Board (LAM) and 6 months of experience in the field of architecture / equivalent after obtaining the degree.
CGPA 2.99 and below : Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honors from a University recognized by the Senate of UKM and the Malaysian Architects Board (LAM) and 12 months of experience in the field of architecture / equivalent after obtaining the degree.
Graduation Requirements
Course evaluation conducted without final examination.
