No Show Policy

To be published in the IconSpace2015 Conference Proceedings and eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore® as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full (member or non-member) rate. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 2 papers. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, or publication-ready version of the paper.

The paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference either by the authors themselves or proxy unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter arranged in advance of the event and who is qualified both to present and answer questions. Authors of no-show papers wishing to appeal the no-show status of their paper must appeal by email to the IconSpace2015 organizing committee ([email protected]), no later than 30 days after the start of IconSpace2015 and providing evidence to convincingly demonstrate that their absence was as a result of forces beyond their will and control or that an erroneous decision was made. Possible evidence for exceptions includes:

  • Medical documents
  • Death notices
  • Airline ticket receipts
  • Visa rejection letter
  • Other official documents supporting the appeal like visa application receipt.

In addition to this policy, main author of the paper is not allowed to add or drop a co-author when the papers were accepted for publication.
